Pedro Rito is a Researcher at the Instituto de Telecomunicações (IT) in Aveiro, Portugal, in the Network Architectures and Protocols group and Innovation Officer for the Aveiro STEAM City EU-funded project, with responsibilities in developing use-cases and deploying the infrastructure of the Aveiro Tech City Living Lab. He also participates as a Researcher in the FCT-funded research project MH-SDVanet and in the P2020 CityCatalyst, IMMINENCE and SNOB-5G projects, and he is (co)supervising 10 Master's dissertations. During his research activity he has published more than 30 publications (12 of which in peer-reviewed journals) and he holds 1 US/EU patent. His current research interests include radio access networks, software-defined radio, vehicular communications, edge-computing and smart cities.
